Zed 98.9 Rock the World – Sports Edition

No purchase necessary. To qualify, sign up to be a ZedHed Club Member at zed989.com, and then visit the Rock the World Sports Edition Contest Page (https://www.zed989.com/contest/57305/enterContest/) to enter the draw. Between September 15 to October 17, 2025, be listening weekdays at 7am, 8am, 2pm, and 4pm. Four names will be selected from the draw each weekday and called out on-air, and each person will have 9 minutes to call Zed 98.9 at 403-342-7625. If they do, they will be deemed a qualifier and have instant entry to the Saturday, October 18^th Grand Prize Giveaway event.

Qualifiers will receive entry into the Saturday, October 18th, 2025 Grand Prize Draw Giveaway Event at Gasoline Alley Harley-Davidson (37 Petrolia Drive, Red Deer County, AB. T4E 1B3). Qualifiers will be emailed giveaway event details and will need to check in upon arrival.

The Contest is open to all legal residents of Central Alberta who are eighteen (18) years of age or older with a valid Alberta Driver’s License and valid Canadian Passport, excluding employees of Zed 98.9, Stingray Radio Inc., its parent company, affiliated companies, advertising and promotional agencies, local radio stations; their staff and personalities, participating sponsors and any persons residing in their respective households. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations.

The Zed Rock the World Sports Edition Grand Prize Giveaway Event will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Gasoline Alley Harley-Davidson (37 Petrolia Drive, Red Deer County, AB. T4E 1B3). Qualifiers must be in attendance to be part of the Grand Prize Draw.  Check-in will take place at Gasoline Alley Harley-Davidson (37 Petrolia Drive, Red Deer County, AB. T4E 1B3) from 12:15pm-1:00pm. Qualifiers must bring a piece of photo ID to check-in.

Between 1:00pm-2:00pm, Zed 98.9 will commence the Grand Prize Draw to find the winner of the Zed Rock the World Sports Edition. This process will be an elimination type “game”. Once the giveaway starts, no late entries will be permitted.

Please note the qualifiers cannot have a proxy fill in for them at the October 18 Giveaway Party.

The number of “Official Qualifiers” participating in the Zed Rock the World Sports Edition Grand Prize Draw could be up to a maximum of 92.

In order to claim the “Official Grand Prize”, the selected entrant must first have correctly answered, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical skill testing question posed at registration. The selected entrant will be required to sign a release and waiver form before being declared the winner.  Zed 98.9 (CIZZ-FM) judges’ rulings are final and without appeal in all matters related to the promotion and the awarding of the Grand Prize.

• Winner will only receive game tickets, flights, and accommodations for the trip they choose.

The Grand Prize Zed 98.9 Rock the World – Sports Edition TRIP must be accepted in its entirety and as awarded.  Grand Prize winner and their guests must have valid passports in order to travel, and be able to travel to the USA on the dates listed above.  Grand Prize Package holds no CASH value.  In the event that the Edmonton and/or Calgary NHL Games are cancelled/postponed, there will be NO subsidiary prize or CASH awarded to the Grand Prize Winner. All cancellations are deemed beyond the control of the Station and its sponsors. This includes, but is not limited to, event cancellations due to any pandemic or epidemic constituting a public health emergency, including those subject to government mandated quarantines, travel restrictions, or stay-at-home orders.  The Station and/or its sponsors shall in no way be responsible under any circumstances whatsoever for replacing, and/or for reimbursing any winner(s) with any form of compensation for, any prize(s) or portion(s) thereof forfeited due to the refusal of the winner(s) and/or their guest(s) to comply with all applicable requirements and/the cancellation of any event, nor will any alternate prize(s) be provided.

Chances of winning are approximately 1 in 92.

Some restrictions on some of the prizes awarded may apply. You can only qualify once for Zed 98.9 Rock the World – Sports Edition. Only one “Official Qualifier” per household is allowed.

All decisions of the judges are final. Zed 98.9 (CIZZ-FM) reserves the right to modify these official rules as necessary.

All entries become property of Zed 98.9 (CIZZ-FM) who assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for failure of the website during the promotional period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion.  Zed 98.9 (CIZZ-FM) reserves the right, in its sole discretion; to cancel or suspend the email portion of this contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of Stingray Radio Inc. corrupt the security or proper administration of the contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, Zed 98.9 (CIZZ-FM) reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.

No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrants.

All entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified by Zed 98.9 (CIZZ-FM). Zed 98.9 (CIZZ-FM) takes no responsibility for lost, misdirected, late or destroyed entries, or for typographical or other production errors.

By entering this contest, each contestant consents to the use of his/her entry, name, and city of residence and/or photograph in any publicity carried out by Zed 98.9 (CIZZ-FM) and/or its advertising agencies, without further compensation.  Winners consent to their photograph being taken by Zed 98.9 (CIZZ-FM) for such use, without further compensation.

Zed 98.9 (CIZZ-FM) is collecting personal data about entrants for the sole purpose of administering this Contest.  No further informational or marketing communications will be received by the entrant unless the entrant provides Zed 98.9 (CIZZ-FM) with explicit permission to do so as indicated on the entry form.

This contest will run in accordance with these rules, subject to amendment by Zed 98.9 (CIZZ-FM).  Contestants must comply with these rules and will be deemed to have received and understood the rules if they participate in the contest.

The terms of this contest, as set out in these rules, are not subject to amendment or counter-offer, except as set out herein.
